Philanderers worldwide went into a panic on Tuesday when details were released of a critical security bug in Apple's FaceTime application, and the exploit was made available online.
The application, renowned for bringing people together through the magic of video calls, is now giving jilted lovers the confirmation they need to end their relationships.
Security experts described how to activate the exploit yourself and people began trying it immediately.
Reportedly, simply calling someone on FaceTime, and adding your own number to the call before they answer, meant that if the call was declined or ignored, the caller could monitor anything that the target iPhone microphone picked up after the initial call was finished.
EveningMoos.com contacted the FaceTime Users Consumer Delegation (FUCD) and although they didn't answer, we can report that tensions are high and there is a lot of cursing, crying and consoling going on within their offices.
Apparently a lot of other calls were answered while ours wasn't, as we could hear "This is FUCD" being said repeatedly as we listened quietly through one of their phones.
The total fallout from this bug has yet to be determined, but early signs are indicating that suspicious partners have begun using the exploit en mass to evesdrop on their partners missed calls.
