Pokémon Go player live streams his own mugging [Video]

Pokémon Go streamer RickeyBot, was idly catching Pokémons on his way home from a night of streaming his Pokémon Go hunt to his Twitch followers when his selfie stick camera caught someone sneaking up behind him and robbing him of both his phones.

RickeyBot films his own mugging
The mugger can be seen, in the video, approaching from behind.

The mugger followed RickeyBot to a quiet spot in Central Park before punching him in the jaw and dragged him to the ground, demanding "Take it off - Take it off - Lets go"

RickeyBot can be heard pleading "No no no no please" before his assailant took both phones and ran off - amazingly still streaming.

RickeyBot said he saw the mugger earlier in a large group of Pokémon hunters and that when he hung back after everyone else left, the mugger must have hung around too, waiting for his chance to strike.

In a series of tweets, RickeyBot said he'd had scans on his jaw and although he'd be drinking everything through a straw for a few days, there were no fractures. His head was sore and elbow bleeding from being dragged to the ground.

A still of the muggers face
RickeyBot was able to hand stills over to police. Amazingly the mugger appears to be wearing a GoPro.

RickeyBot has HD recordings of the footage and has given them and a few stills of the mugger to police.

Bizarely, the mugger appeared to be wearing his own GoPro camera on his head when he attacked RickeyBot.

The video ends after the mugger has puffed himself out running, then walking and panting for a bit before performing a factory reset on each of the phones.

Viewers of the live stream were shocked, many just typing "OMG" and "WTF" until user "NipplesOfTheNorth" lept into action and suggested someone in New York call 911.
